AGM was it's usual self with members carrying on about minor details and not allowing the meeting to progress. Very disappointed with the comments and remarks made by some which were totally inappropriate and insulting.
Also disappointed that many members obviously don't know the LOTG and answered the law questions incorrectly. A point in question was the one where a shin pad was thrown at a player who was off the field of play and they were only going to give a caution. It is obvously a red card as it was attempts to or strikes a player. The shin pad is an extension of the hand.
Yes some personal and unnecessay comments were made to an elected member. Agreed that much time was lost on rubbish. We have never disclosed the number of each ballot before. Totally unnecessary and out of order to even carry on about it. What is clear is that we need some more new blood on the committee. It was good to see a couple stand for positions - even though they were defeated by exisiting committee members it was healthy to see others step up. We need more vision and a way forward not more of the same. Also agree that we are in trouble when many of our referees don't know the LOTG. TSC needs to work on this.
