I was asked by a new member yesterday where they should stand on a corner kick.
Even the senior referee was unaware of the correct position so wish to ask other members where they stand (for both corners on their side and the other side).

For a corner near me, I stand about 1.5 - 2 meters off the pitch in line with the goal line. This way the kicker can play the ball and I don't interfere.
For kicks on the far side, I move about 2 meters onto the goal line.

On the edge of the penalty area, just out of the way of the usual attacker hovering about there somewhere. I did have one stand behind me last week trying to hide so the defender did not realise to mark them...am I that big?
I would go to the far side away from the AR for most corners but if there are a few corners, and I have noticed an incident or 2, maybe change it up and swap over to the other side near the AR but this would be rare.
I would be just outside the penalty area or on the line, about 3 to 4 metres away from the arc at the top of the penalty area.
I would not go to the goalline.
My position usually has good vision of the goalkeeper and players there, but also helps to get ready to go back up field.

Excellent. I personally am tall enough to see over the corner flag so when the corner is taken from my side I take around 5 steps back (many of the juniors say they cannot see which causes an issue if they are this far back on senior games).
Also I only stand on the inside of the arc personally as I found a few years ago if I came in more than that I actually had to change my position off the 2nd last defender as the cross was overhit and ended up near me.

Agree with near side corner. On the far side corner i stand a couple of meters in front of the flag but one step outside the goal line. This is to stop the goal posts (and defenders standing next to them) blocking my view of the far side goal line and its immediate vicinity i.e the blind spot is shifted to a non critical area of the FOP.
