There has been very little activity in the forum now for several days!!! This is very disappointing especially since we are getting near to the business end of the season.
The lack of interest is very sad and in spite of several attempts by yours truly to get others involved it seems other referees forums are both more interesting and much better attended. Is it the wish of the members that this facility be removed through lack of interest or not? I fail to see the point of monitoring it if isn't being used. Webmaster - GDSRA

DS,
I can't speak, or type, for the others, but I'm rather busy with work and football stuff.
We did have a burst with some new members, but sadly, they no longer participate. :-(

I like it a lot... would be a shame to lose it. In saying that I'm not sure how to get more people involved... AusRef only has a greater participation because it is a national thing... Maybe get a few more moderators to lessen your workload DS?

Thanks for that Evo5 and JR however, I would say there is no point in having more moderators to lighten my load if there is very few members participating - nothing to moderate!!! If I took it off line it would be interesting to see who actually missed it?DS

Yes, we need the forum. I know few use it but several get a benefit from it including heaps of just lookers. Now if we could get the lookers to have some input it would be very good!!! Not sure what the answer is and I believe DS that you have tried many times to get some action but you can't make people who don't wish to be involved get off their rear ends and actually participate if they don't want to!!! Come on everyone get involved or we may loose our forum for good! I certaintly appreciate your efforts and our forum. You are doing a great job and I know you don't want praise for the service you give the association but you deserve some recognition for your efforts with our website. Many members don't realise the resource they have and the time and effort that has been put into it and to keep it current. Hang in there Sir you are doing a great job! Also while I am handing out praise - Evo5 should also be thanked for all his efforts too with the appointments in a season where there have been constant stuff ups by the football association in trying to get a draw and website working. Well done Evo5 too - another member who without his efforts we would not be such an efficient referees association. How about some recognition for our unsung heros? My two cents worth.

I'm with the others; as a non GDSRA referee I have always found your website forum to of use to referees worldwide as is your excellent website (don't tell GHSRA I said that). It would be a pity to close it. Hey guys start using it and support your forum! It is a valuable resource and tool for your members. Well done DS and keep up the good work even if some don't support you or value your efforts as legend feels. You deserve more credit for what you have achieved; you have brought your association into the real world with your efforts. Not every association can say they have a first rate website and modern up to date facility providing valuable information and resources to their members. Fellow GDSRA members start using your forum and your website more! Perhaps if it wasn't there you might realise what you are missing!!!

Yes, it would be a shame if it is removed DS. My Irish Colleagues don't participate in your forum (they certainly use your excellent website) but perhaps I can get them involved. Ds you have provided an excellent resource for all referees and your GDSRA members should realise your efforts and those of your helpers. I am aware of the number of hours put into the site and it would be nice if others would acknowledge that. Right GDSRA members get behind your forum. You will never know what you have missed until it is gone. DS has done a great job, recognise heis efforts and support the service he has provided you! I for one will be very sad to lose the forum and I apologise for not using it more. Paddy

Don't remove the forum as it is a useful resource. I agree with the others that whilst it is not used as much as it should be it would be a shame to remove it. I certainly would miss it.

I understand where DS is coming from as this forum as had no participation for two days. Guys use your forum - it must be so frustrating for DS when he makes so many pleas to use this resource and it seems that basically very few members care at all. There has been a great deal of effort put into providing the resources on your members website yet most don't seem to care less - not a good attitude for a referee is it! Pretty poor when this post is the first for a couple of days - shame!!! Paddy

Agrees with paddy 100%. Apologies for not using the forum more; I do look often but must admit that I should participate more in the discussions again. Time is my problem and I just have to find the mix!
