Query on advantage. Reckless foul on attacking player by player (already on one card) advantage played as definite goal scoring opportunity. Goalkeeper saves goalscoring shot and with quick transition kicks ball upfield and player who would have been cautioned scores. My understanding that player causing reckless foul would be cautioned and as second yellow sent off when ball out of play. Play should continue until ball out of play, thus goal would stand. Is this correct? What would you do in such a situation?

A very good question Newby
Since we have played on due to the clear opportunity to score, I think it is correct to allow the goal to the player that will be shown the caution.
At the next stoppage, I think we must show the caution to the player because in the first instance, we were certain that it required a caution.
So, I would allow the goal and then caution the scorer and since it is their 2nd caution, as I show them the red card I would try some player management and smile and say that "you must be one of the luckiest players to score after you have been sent off but the law is the law and this was the next stoppage....well done...sorry about that."
It occurs to me to think maybe I would not bother showing the caution but I think that would be incorrect. If the initial incident required a caution then it must be shown at the next stoppage.
