With the recent hot weather Football NSW has issued an updated circular (1st February, 2011) on Hot Weather which has been added to the website under the "Referees' Documents" link.
With higher temperatures now occurring more frequently consideration must be given to the effects of heat and humidity on elite and amateur athletes and particularly children involved in football activities.
In response, Football NSW has considered several factors including the increased popularity of summer football and an increase in events held in warmer months. The information on the website is therefore recommended in accordance with duty of care and information as issued by Sports Medicine Australia.
To view this go to the "Members' Information" drop down menu, sub menu "Referees' Documents" and then click on sub sub menu "Referees' Circulars".
