Your comments and feedback on the website and forum would be very much appreciated. Am I providing resources that you need, is there stuff that should be removed, is there anything that need to be added, any suggestions for improvement, etc.?Cheers

I believe that DS needs a medal for all the work he has done in putting together an excellent website with some great resources for referees everywhere. Perhaps, the mc could give him a formal thank you for his ongoing efforts and it's a pity more members don't avail themselves of the resource or use the forum. I too love the new forum format and the wonderfull new front page of the website this week with the "Respect the Referre" thems. DS well done for changing headers and pictures each week as it keeps the website fresh and interesting wondering who will appear each week. Well done and keep up the good work which I guess often goes unappreciated. I for one appreciate your efforts.

Totally agree Irish Referee DS has produced an excellent resource and continues to update and vary the front page to attract interest. My Irish collegues also appreciate his efforts and continue to use your website for obtaining their information on all facets of refereeing. GDSRA members and management should be proud of this excellent resource which is suitable worldwide for all referees. It is a pity more members don't use the forum but you can't force people to use it even though DS has tried many times to encourage more use. Well done DS and your efforts are appreciated by many! Keep up the great work mate! Paddy

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. I am just trying to provide as good a resource as I can for all referees. The website is a long way from being perfect and their is still much to do when time permits.
I am just doing my job, no more no less to the best of my ability. The website was something I believed in, presented to management and developed to bring us into the 21st Century as far as resources was concerned. It was a dream and it is ongoing. The website development is a "journey not a destination"; we never arrive there and it a continuous improvement activity well worth the effort. I only hope that when I walk away that I can leave it in good hands and know that the passion is still there. Thanks for the support, it is nice to know that some care. Cheers
DS

Excellent content in the website. If possible, the looks could be improved. I understand that there are limited resources and not easy to maintain and keep the content up to date. Let alone making it look good.

I think the looks are fine and it is easy to navigate around the site, Front page is excellent and well laid out! What exactly do you want fairplay a gold plated bells and whistles page? If it ain't broke don't fix it!!!

Irish, Hope DS doesn’t perceive my post the same way as you. He started this thread for getting feed back and that's what I did. “If it ain't broke don't fix it” try telling that to all the ladies who put make up on to make themselves look better and see what you get in response. “gold plated bells and whistles page” there is a page with reference to brass whistles, why not a gold plated one I design Graphical User Interface as part of my everyday job. Not so much of websites but I know a thing or two about it. DS, As soon as I get a chance I will email you some of the things that IMO can be improved (in opposed to fixed) provided you agree with them and as I said if you have the time and resources to implement them.

DS,
It was a bit of typo and an attempt to edit the post that changed what i meant to say. It is fixed now. I appreciate that you would have little time to spare (as we all would).
Cheers.

A year and a half later and Direstraits Referee has redecorated the website beautifully. Very good job Richard because it is so user friendly featuring clear labelling of menu buttons to choose from. Now we await the doors to open for members and guests to arrive and facilitate the wealth of knowledge, fun and opinions.
