I would miss it. Though, just lately, I've been a bit busy to be on here much. :-(

I have to agree DS - our forum has very much died over the past 3 months. Surely some people have questions they need clarifying, whether it is about the LOTG, Granville procedures, etc.
Or even incidents that have happenned in a recent game that would be thought provoking.

Maybe we could promote it more at our meeting by running a contest as to who asks the best questions or answers the best questions via this website? Maybe even give out prizes...I don't know maybe our referees are not confident to share questions and answers....I don't know what it is, but referees are just not using this interesting forum. We could threaten the referees that if they don't login to this site we will get BIG BAD SMIVVY on to them

GCR, That is something next season's MC could look at.

AH Smivvy. You are always in our minds - like a HUGE dark cloud looming overhead.

Use this excellent resource guys; you don't realise how good it is. Your members have an excellent resource in your website and DS and others who input should be praised for their efforts. You have a world class reource with one of the best referees websites around - so use it!

Perhaps you are preaching to the converted by raising this in the forum. There are very useful resources on the website and we should be encouraging members at general meetings and in correspondence to get information from there.
Does MC need to consider not providing hardcopy of instructions at meetings, instead pointing to the website? Perhaps Secretary's meeting reminders should provide a link to the website for minutes etc?
Just some thoughts.

Some excellent suggestions floyd but you can tell the season is basically over because nobody has posted on here, except me and Evo5 since 2nd September, 2008. We actually used to have more particpation back in the days when we had appointments built into the website.
Why not check in each day and have a look? Guys and girls how about some active participation with questions, discusions, etc?A frustrated Webmaster

Yet they still have to go online to get their appointments. DS, do you have stats for the website usage as opposed to the forum ?

Website use for Australia is down since appointments are a separate website. However, many more people use the website than the forum. In fact at the moment we have more overseas visitors than local Australian. Check the meeting minutes under Webmaster Report and you will see that Australia is declining on its use.The statistics are sad but true! Perhaps, the website needs a revamp but I am short on available time at the moment?Cheers DS

Perhaps, the website needs a revamp but I am short on available time at the moment? Not again..... I'm not sure that would, in and of itself, bring people back. Needs thinking about.

It is a mystery to me why we do not get more forum contributions. I have started a few threads recently with controversial comments hoping to get a good forum response but have been disappointed in the lack of interest.

For next year, perhaps someone should put a message in the arbiter with a link to the website, and the forum?
